이미나는 동식물의 본성과 습성을 관찰하며 그들이 가진 고유한 특성에 스토리를 부여해 생명있는 것들의 경이로움을 회화로 조형화하고 있다. 회화와 조각, 설치, 그림책 등 다양한 분야에서 활동하고 있으며, 그의 작업은 감상자로 하여금 미지의 세계를 상상하게 하고, 생의 신비와 순수성을 느끼게 한다. 그림책 분야에서 이미나는 우리나라 1세대 그림책 거장 류재수와 일본의 다시마 세이조가 주목하는 그림책 작가로서 [터널의 날들]<보림>, [나의 동네]<보림>, [조용한 세계]<보림>, [새의 모양]<보림>, [이불개]<보림>의 글과 그림을 지었다.

Mina Lee observes the nature and habits of animals and plants, weaving stories into their unique characteristics to express the wonder of living things through painting.

She works across various media including painting, sculpture, installation, and picture books. Her work invites viewers to imagine unknown worlds and reconnect with

the mystery and purity of life. In the world of picture books, Mina is recognized by masters such as Ryu Jae-soo, a pioneer of Korean picture books,

and Japanese artist Seizo Tashima. She has written and illustrated several beloved titles, including Days of the Tunnel, My Neighborhood, The Quiet World, Bird Shapes, and The Blanket Fold, all published by Borim Press.
